Kahaani 2 will see Vidya Balan in a new slimmer avatar. The actress who gained weight for her role in The Dirty Picture has now been asked to shed those pounds by director Sujoy Ghosh. Talking about the movie he said “As per the demand of the role, there will be a lot of action in the sequel. So hopefully, audiences will get to see a new Vidya in Kahaani 2”. He further revealed that he has asked Vidya to get in shape for the role “Not too much, but as per the script, Vidya will have few action scenes in the film. So as the script demands, I had asked her to be in shape. There will be some physical activities that Vidya will have to do in the film”, he further added.
Sujoy Ghosh will start working on the movie as soon as the script is done “The script is not yet ready. We are in the process of developing the script. Once the script is ready, the film will go on the floors next year”, he said.
Kahaani 2 is the sequel to Kahaani which released this year and was hugely successful at the box office. Sujoy Ghosh also said that many characters from Kahaani will be repeated in the sequel and also some portions will be shot in Kolkatta once again.
