Have you ever heard of an Indian TV show being telecast on a private channel and government’s Doordarshan simultaneously? Well you answer would obviously be a big No, but for the first time ever Aamir Khan’s much hyped show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will air on Sunday mornings on both Star Plus and DD1! Starting from 6th May, each episode will be an hour long and will start at 11am.
Trust Aamir Khan to do whatever it takes for promoting his films and now we see a similar trend with his TV show. Apparently he convinced the channel Star Plus to telecast the show on Doordarshan as well. According to the actor the show is about common man and he wants it to reach every household in India. Considering the fact that small towns and remote areas still do not have a satellite connection, telecasting the show on DD1 was the only option to extend the viewership. The actor thanked Star Plus for letting him do this new experiment on Indian television.
Lets us see if Aamir is able to bring a new revolution on Indian TV!
