Putting rest to all the rumors, Asin has finally replced Nargis Fakhri in the upcoming movie Khiladi 786. Earlier Nargis had been signed to play the lead opposite Akshay Kumar however she was recently replaced as the makers felt that she wouldn’t look convincing as Mihtun’s sister on screen. Names like Ileana D’Cruz and Diana Penty were also considered for the role however finally it is Asin who has bagged the lead role in the movie.
Khiladi 786 is an action comedy film and stars Akshay Kumar, Asin Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya. The movie is directed by Ashish R Mohan and will release on 7th December 2012. The film was earlier set to release in Diwali however the makers decided to avoid the clash with Ajay Devgan’s Son Of Sardar and Yash Chopra’s next untitled film and moved the release to December
This will be Akshay and Asin’s second film together after Housefull 2. Akshay Kumar is popularly known as Khiladi Kumar due the number of ‘Khiladi’ films he has done till date – Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, International Khiladi and Khiladi 420. His last ‘Khiladi’ film came way back in 2000 and the viewers will get to see Khiladi Kumar back in action after 12 long years! The shooting for the film will start from 2nd June.
