Barfi is out of the Oscar race

Ranbir Kapoor’s Barfi which was chosen to represent India in Oscars is now out the race to win the award for the Best Foreign Film. An official announcement was made today in which it was said that only 9 films will advance to the next round in the foreign film category. A total of 75 films had qualified in the category initially.

There was huge uproar when Barfi was chosen as India’s official entry to Oscars. People had claimed that the movie was a copy of several other foreign films and thus did not stand a chance at the Oscars. Critics were of the opinion that the The Film Federation Of India should have picked other original stories like Kahaani and Paan Singh Tomar.

Well all we can say in tough luck to team Barfi!
