Best Bollywood Movie Of 2012 – Poll

The best thing about 2012 was the success of content driven cinema. Small budget movies with no stars did wonders at the box office this year. The Indian audience proved the fact that they do appreciate good cinema, whether or not it has a SRK or Salman in it!

We had Kahaani which came in the beginning of 2012 and is probably one of the best thrillers we have ever seen from Bollywood. Then there was Paan Singh Tomar, based on the true story of an athlete who is forced by circumstances to turn into a dacoit. The industry got a new star when Ayushmann Khurrana was launched in Vicky Donor. This film starring debutants went on to become a super hit at the box office.

Akshay Kumar’s home production OMG! Oh My God was the story of a business Kanjibhai and his fight against god. Paresh Rawal was in terrific form and the film was loved by one and all. Then there was also Barfi which was later chosen as India’s official entry to Oscars. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra won everyone’s heart with their spectacular performance in the movie. Sridevi made her comeback to the silver screen after 15 years with English Vinglish and she probably couldn’t have chosen a better script for it!
