It’s that time of the week again where we give you the list of Bollywood movies that are releasing on the coming Friday. This week we have three Bollywood movie hit the theaters – Gattu, Challo Driver and Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai. Here’s a sneak peak.
Gattu: A small boy named Gattu works at a scrap yard as he doesn’t have enough money to go to school. The one thing that Gattu is most passionate about is flying kites. He actively participates in all the kite flying competition in the town and like everyone else, Gattu is also determined to defeat “Kali”, the mysterious kite in the town which no one has been able to defeat so far! Directed by Rajan Khosa, Gattu stars child artist Mohammad Samad in lead role. The film has been appreciated at various Film Festivals. We hope it is one of those cute children’s film that touches your heart!
Challo Driver: The movie is about a girl named Tanya Malhotra who becomes a chauffeur to a young construction tycoon just because she wanted some excitement in her career! Quite an innovative way to seek excitement we must say. Kainaz Motivala will play the role of the driver while Vickrant Mahajan plays her boss. Challo Driver also stars Prem Chopra and Manoj Pahwa in prominent roles. Are you read to watch “India’s coolest chauffeur?”
Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai: The story is about Amar Joshi (played by Suniel Shetty) who runs a video library is Banaras. The only dream that Amar has is to become a Bollywood film director. To fulfill his dream, he enrolls himself in a film institute in London. However after coming back to Mumbai, Amar realizes that it’s not so easy to make a film in this industry! Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai also stars Rajpal Yadav, Om Puri, Neena Gupta, Rakesh Bedi and Udita Goswani.
So these are our three Bollywood releases for 20th July 2012. Three rather small films and it would be interesting to see if anyone of these is able to leave a mark at the box office. All of them will have to depend on a good word of mouth publicity since they are not going to open big.
