Bollywood mourns as superstar Rajesh Khanna passes away

It was truly a sad day not only for the Indian film industry but also for the entire nation. India’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna is no more with us. He was 69.  The actor has not been keeping well for quite some time now. He was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday however his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last at his residence today afternoon. The news of his demise was shared by his son-in-law Akshay Kumar  “I regret to inform everybody my father-in-law Mr. Rajesh Khanna is no more. He has gone to a nice and heavenly place, we are happy about that. I hope everybody who is watching this can just say a small little prayer for him,” Akshay told reporters.

Kaka as he was popularly known has left behind a huge legacy. He has given the industry some memorable hits like Anand, Amar Prem, Kati Patang, Aradhana and many more. Bollywood mourned the death of it’s first superstar as tributes poured in from every corner of the country. Here’s what they had to say.
