Box Office: Ferrari Ki Sawaari starts slow, Rowdy Rathore unstoppable

Ferrari Ki Sawaari has not exactly taken a grand start (like the car itself) at the Box Office. The Sharman Joshi-Boman Irani starrer opened to an average 20% collections throughout India. The collections were better at some select multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi where the film had 30%-35% collection. The movie has got good to average reviews from the critics and it would be interesting to see how well it does on Saturday and Sunday. The biggest challenge for the film will of course be Rowdy Rathore which seems unstoppable even in its 3rd week.

Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore collected 34 crore in it’s second week, taking it’s 2 week  collection to 112 crore. The film collected a massive 78 crore in it’s first week. The movie is a blockbuster and definitely the biggest hit of the year till now. On the other hand Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai could not find many takers at the Box Office as the film collected only 17.5 crore in it’s first week. The second week collections are going to be much lower.

All eyes are now on Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s Teri Meri Kahaani which releases next Friday on 22nd June!
