Rowdy Rathore has opened to a thunderous response all across the country. The Akshay Kumar – Sonakshi Sinha starrer has taken a nearly 100% opening at single screen everywhere. The film is on its way to be Akshay’s biggest opener so far. Though the film has received mixed reviews for the critics, the response from the audience has been excellent so far.
The film has also opened well at multiplexes though not as well as at single screens. The film opened to 60-70% collections at multiplexes and it likely to pick up over the weekend. Similar trend has been observed for films like Ready, Dabangg etc. (all masala movies, mass entertainers) which had opened to better numbers at single screens in the past.
The single screen collections of Rowdy Rathore is doing to be huge. It’s too early to predict the numbers but the first day collections might be in range on 15-16 crore. Looks like Akshay is one his way to another 100 crore film!
