Box Office: Shanghai collects 3 crore on Day 1

Shanghai has managed to collect only 3 crore on the first day of it’s release. The figures are poor considering the film had a good star cast and got great reviews from the critics. The film has been totally rejected at single screens where it was unable to find any takers. The collection has been not so great at multiplexes too, with the average around 25-30%. According to early reports, the reports for Shanghai are not great for Saturday too.

Rowdy Rathore on the other hand continued to pull in the crowds at single screens and multiplexes. The film collected 5 crore on it’s 8th day which truly is fantastic. Shanghai 1st day collection was actually 2 crore less than Rowdy Rathore 8th day collection! Saturday and Sunday are likely to be huge for Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore which is setting up new records at the Box Office.
