The trailer of Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai starring Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin was launched today. Based on the life of politicians the movie also stars Bengali actor Prosenjit. Coming from the makers of Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Love Sex and Dhoka the movie has a very interesting star cast. Abhay and Emraan will be sharing the screen for the very first time however Abhay and Kalki have previously worked together in Dev D.
The trailer looks quite interesting with Abhay Deol playing an investigating officer who is working on unveiling the truth behind the death of a Chief Minister. However the biggest surprise is Emraan Hashmi, who looks set to play a very different charactes from what he has done till date. Watching his body language, mannerism in the trailer it looks like he has done full justice to the role. The movie releases on June 8.
