Actress Sonakshi Sinha whose film Rowdy Rathore opened to packed houses yesterday turns 25 today. Daughter of Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi made her acting debut opposite Salman Khan in Dabanng (2010). Even though her role in the movie wasn’t significant yet she was able to make a mark for herself.
Sonakshi has a big line up of movies in the coming years. It seems the actress is fast becoming a favorite of the filmmakers especially for big budget movies. This year Sonakshi will be seen in Joker which will have her pair up once again with Akshay Kumar. The movie is directed by Shirish Kunder. The actress will also be seen in Son Of Sardar opposite Ajay Devgan and of course in the most awaited film of the year – Dabanng 2! She has recently been signed for Judwaa 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan and will also been seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Lootera. Sonakshi will be completing a hat-trick of films with Akshay Kumar as she will star with him once again in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2.
With so many big films in her kitty, the future definitely looks bright for this fresh new talent in Bollywood. However we hope to see her in some meaningful roles wherein she gets an opportunity to showcase her acting talent. We hope that one of these films will give her that opportunity. Sonakshi’s second film Rowdy Rathore has opened to a bumper response across the country and there probably can’t be a better gift for her then the success of the film.
