It’s good to be confident about your work, but trust director Sajid Khan to be a bit extra confident about his films. At the song recording for his next movie, Himmatwala Sajid said that he is confident that the movie will cross 100 crore in only 1 week! “I will never let down the audience. I have proved that three times. Now I will do that again. My film Himmatwala will cross Rs.100 crore in first week” , said Sajid.
Himmatwala is a remake of the 1983 hit with the same name starring Jeetendra and Sridevi. The new Himmatwala will have Ajay Devgan play the lead role. This confidence is nothing new for Sajid. He was equally confident about Housefull 2 which actually did very well at the box office. The film is one of the biggest hits of the year. It was also Akshay Kumar’s most successful film till date, before Rowdy Rathore happened.
Sajid also said that he might not be a great director but he can never make flop films. He has directed three films till date – Hey Baby, Housefull and Housefull2 and all three of them have been money spinners at the box office. We can see where that confidence is coming from but do you think Sajid Khan is being over confident with Himmatwala?
