Housefull 2 which released today seems to have struck a chord with the audience. This is evident with excellent numbers coming in from all over the country, the film is doing especially well at the multiplexes. The best numbers are from cities of North India like Ludhiana and Noida where the film has opened to excellent response. In fact Noida had 100% collections for the morning shows at almost all the multiplexes.
The film also did good first day business in Rajasthan even as Rajasthan Royals played their first match in IPL today. The Mumbai circuit opened to 60-70% collections for the morning shows. Housefull 2 first day numbers are likely to be 15 Crores plus! The film has received mixed reviews from the critics but at the end it’s the audience that decides the fate of a film and if the numbers are anything to go by then director Sajid Khan looks set to have another hit in his kitty!
