Joker and Lagaan: Same To Same!

When we saw this picture from Shirish Kunder’s Joker, the first thing that struck us was it’s uncanny resemblance to Aamir Khan’s Lagaan poster. Both the pictures have people standing in a straight line against a village/rural backdrop. Also the costumes are quite alike.

The two movies might be as different as chalk and cheese content wise, but the similarity in these pictures is undeniable. Joker releases worldwide on 14th September. Have a look! Aren’t they strikingly similar?
