Kai Po Che off to a decent start, Zila Ghaziabad slow

Kai Po Che is off to a decent start at the box office. In spite of the fact that there are no big stars/known faces, the movie managed decent collections because it was promoted very well. The opening was around 40-50% which is quite good for a small film like this. The first day collections of Kai Po Che are likely to be in the range of 4-5 crore. The movie has done well in multiplexes in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Noida and Gurgaon. However the collections at single screens especially in Punjab, Up and Bihar were low.

The other release of the week Zila Ghaziabad had a dull start with the movie doing marginally better at single screens. The collections were quite low at multiplexes in big cities in spite of the presence of some known faces like Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi and Arshad Warsi.

The reviews for Kai Po Che have been very good and it is likely to pick up over the weekend however the fate of Zila Ghaziabad doesn’t look too bright right now.
