Director Karan Johar is heading to Thailand for a month long shoot of his upcoming film Student Of The Year. The movie is a comedy starring newcomers Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. Alia Bhatt is the the daughter of 
director Mahesh Bhatt and Varun Dhawan the son of director David Dhawan. The movie will now be shot in Thailand, “Leaving 2mor for a month long shoot!!! Going to thailand for STUDENT OF THE YEAR!!! Will keep you guys posted!!!” Karan tweeted on the micro blogging site twitter.
The movie’s release date has not been decided yet. The interesting thing about this movie is that this is the first time that Karan is making a film without Shahrukh Khan. The director had earlier said that he cannot make films without SRK. His previous films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and My Name Is Khan had SRK in the lead role. It remains to be seen whether Karan Johar can make his magic work without Shahrukh this time?
