Actress Madhuri Dixit received the Dinanath Mangeshkar Award in Mumbai yesterday. The award ceremony is organized every year by nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar in honor of her father Late Shri Dinanath Mangeshkar. Madhuri was given the award for her outstanding contribution in the field of cinema and arts.
The actress received the award for Lata Mangeshkar and thanked her for bestowing her with such an honor. “Want to thank Lata Mangeshkar and the state of Maharashtra for the tremendous honors they are bestowing on me!” wrote Madhuri on her twitter page. Shri Bal Thackeray was also present at the event.
