Contrary to rumors that Shirish Kunder was asked by producer Sajid Nadiawala to leave the movie Kick, Salman Khan has now revealed that it was Shirish who left the film on his own. Salman clarified the issue on twitter “No that’s nt true . shirish left the film . He is working on sm thing else . Ho gaya clear ? Good ! Challo bye . Take care guys n nice”, he wrote. Kick starring Salman in the lead will now be directed by Sajid Nadiawala who will be making his directorial debut with the movie.
Earlier it was said that Sajid has asked Shirish to leave after Joker opened to a dull response at the box office. Even Shirish’s tweet pointed in that direction “Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing KICK. He had originally envisioned the project and I feel he is the best person to bring it to life”, he had written on twitter. We wonder what Shirish has to say about this statement from Salman.
Salman and Shirish Kunder have earlier worked together in Jaan-E-Mann which was the director’s first film. Incidentally that was also produced by Sajid Nadiawala.
