After launching three newcomers – Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt with his film Student Of The Year in 2012, director Karan Johar now plans to make Student Of The Year Part 2. In fact the director revealed that Dharma Productions plans to make it a franchise which will launch new faces.
“For all those asking…definitely planning #SOTY2…Dharma plans to make it a franchise and launch new talent with it each time…”, wrote Karan on twitter. The director shocked everyone by making his first film without Shahrukh Khan last year. Also it was the first time that Karan was working with 3 newcomers. Student Of The Year proved to be a hit at the box office resulting in a big fan following for all the three leads especially among the younger generation.
We hope that Bollywood benefits from this and gets new talent with every film!
