Rhea in Hum Tum : Rani had a crackling chemistry with Saif Ali Khan in the super entertaining Hum Tum. She played the confident and bold Rhea in the first part of the movie, and as the movie progressed we saw various other sides of the character. It was a role which required Rani to portray different shades of Rhea as she ages and goes through personal losses. Rani was top notch as Rhea, a role which won her many awards including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Dr.Suhani in Saathiya : The movie was like a breath of fresh air not only because of its awesome music but also because of Vivek-Rani pairing. She played the ambitious Dr. Suhani, a medical student who runs away and gets married against her family wishes. The actress played the role to such perfection that it’s hard to imagine anyone else in the role.

Michelle in Black : Considered by many as Rani’s finest performance she played a deaf and blind girl in Black. In spite of being pitted against the biggest actor of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan the actress was not only able to stand her own ground but also overcame Big B in many of the scenes.

Meera in No One Killed Jessica : Rani’s last release No One Killed Jessica saw her playing the feisty and bold Meera. Playing the reporter who fights for the Jessical Lal murder case the actress showed great variation in her role. The movie won her the best supporting actress award at this year’s Filmfare awards.
