Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza – Married 3rd February 2012

The adorable couple finally tied the knot after dating each other for 9 years! Ritesh and Genelia first met during the shooting of  their debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam. Ever since they were constantly linked with each other by the media however the two always denied these stories. It was said that Ritesh’s father Vilasrao Deshmukh was against the wedding because of Genelia belonging to a different religion. But they eventually managed to convince the families with the couple tying the knot in February this year. Ritesh and Genelia’s wedding was a lavish affair with the entire Bollywood in full attendance.

 Bharat Takhtani and Esha Deol - Married 29th June 2012

After a Bollywood career which never really took off, Esha decided to settle down and tie the knot with boyfriend Bharat Takhtani. The couple got married in a traditional wedding which was attended by several Bollywood stars. Even though Esha’s father Dharmendra was present at all the ceremonies, brothers Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were conspicuous by their absence. It was said that the Deol brothers didn’t want to hurt their mother and hence decided to give Esha’s wedding a miss.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor – Married 16th October 2012

This was one wedding which everyone has been waiting for years! The media had got them married several times however Saif and Kareena finally tied the knot on 16th October this year. Even though Sharmila Tagore had confirmed the date few months back, the couple kept on denying the news till the very last minute. Saif and Kareena opted for a court marriage which was attended only by close family and friends. Wedding receptions were later thrown in Mumbai and Delhi.

Siddharth Roy Kapur and Vidya Balan – Married 14th December 2012

And last but definitely not the least was the wedding of Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur in December. The couple first met during the shooting of No One Killed Jessica, a film which was produced by Siddharth. Even though the media linked them several times, the couple never spoke about it in public. Vidya’s marriage was a very private affair, the details of which were not revealed to the media till the last hour. Their wedding was attended by only family and friends.
