Valentine’s Day Special: Bollywood’s Most Romantic Songs!

February 14th is celebrated as the day of love all over the world and love has always been an integral part of Bollywood movies. In fact you would hardly find a Hindi film without romance and of course without the lovey dovey love numbers. Over the years, Bollywood has churned out some beautiful romantic numbers. Some are an instant hit but then fade away with time while some become these timeless love melodies.

So let’s take a look at some of the most romantic Bollywood songs which still feel as fresh as ever.

Pehla Nasha (Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, 1992): Bollywood’s evergreen romantic number. Sung by Udit Narayan and Sadhana Sargam the song released in 1992 but 21 years down the line, it still remains our most loved romantic song. The song is timeless, it just never gets old.

Tujhe Dekha To (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, 2005): Shahrukh Khan and romance go hand in hand and ‘Tujhe Dekha To’ is definitely one of his most romantic numbers. The magical music, lyrics and of course the chemistry between Shahrukh and Kajol makes the song even more special. Come fall in love!

Aey Mere Humsafar (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, 1988): Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla looked adorable as the young lovers in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The movie had some lovely songs, and ‘Aye Mere Humsafar’ is definitely one of Bollywood’s timeless classics. Love it!

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho (Blackmail, 1973): Kishore Kumar made love songs memorable and one of his most romantic numbers is ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho’. You have to listen to it to see how beautiful it is.

Bahon Ke Darmiyan (Khamoshi, 1996): The song ‘Bahon Ke Darmiyan’ from Khamoshi is next on our list of most romantic Bollywood numbers. The voice of Hariharan and Alkya Yagnik give this love so much meaning and passion. Soul-stirring!

 

Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo (Yaadon Ki Baraat, 1973): An extremely popular Bollywood number, ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo’ is favorite for karaoke. The lyrics are evergreen and Asha Bhosle’s voice still sounds so fresh.

Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai (Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, 1994): First love is always special, and this song from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun was all about first love. Not only was the movie a classic, this song too remain etched in our memory forever.

Zara Zara Bahekta HaiRehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, 2001): Probably one of the most passionate love songs to have come out of Bollywood, ‘Zara Zara Bahekta Hai’ will always find a place in Bollywood’s most romantic songs list.

Bahon Mein Chale Aao (Anamika, 1973): How cute is Jaya Bhaduri in this song? That aside, Lata Mangeshkar lends her voice to this cute romantic number which is bound to put a smile on your face!

Are Re Are Yeh Kya Hua (Dil To Pagal Hai, 1997): The chemistry between Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit is electrifying in this romantic song from Dil To Pagal Hai. We love ‘Are Re Are’ and can never get enough of it!
