Vidya Balan to play Indira Gandhi or MS Subbulakshmi?

Vidya Balan is going to act in a biopic. The news was confirmed by the actress herself however she refused to give any details about the project “I can’t reveal much as I’m bound by contract. All I can say is that I’m doing a biopic. When the time is right, the makers will make the necessary announcement”, she said.

However we have been hearing two reports on what the biopic could be all about. According to one report, Vidya is expected to play Indira Gandhi in a film which will be based on the life of former Indian Prime Minister. However there are also reports that the actress will play the legendary Indian singer MS Subbulakshmi in her next film. It is being said that this biopic will be directed by Rajiv Menon who is on the look out for producers.

Vidya has almost wrapped up shooting for Ghanchakkar. She will next start shooting for Shaadi Ke Side Effects opposite Farhan Akhtar. She is expected to start working on this biopic soon. If you ask us, we hope the biopic is on MS Subbulakshmi. The world definitely needs to know more about this Bharat Ratna!
