Vidya Balan seems to do no wrong these days, after delivering hits after hits the actress is now on board for her first world tour in October this year. The tour would be organized by the famous Morani Brothers who are the pillars of Bollywood live shows abroad. The tour will apparently be a solo tour with Vidya performing in several cities across US and Europe.
A solo tour for an actress is rare, only Karishma Kapoor has done that in the past and that too in the 90s. With Vidya’s popularity reaching new heights it seems the organizers are confident that she will be able to carry the show on her own shoulders alone. The actress is likely to groove on her hit numbers like ‘Ooh La La’ from The Dirty Picture and Ibe En Batuta from Ishqiya. It is rumored that music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar will also be joining the tour. Vidya will not only dance but is also likely to do what she does best – act! Yes, that’s right the audience might get to see the talented Vidya Balan perform some of her best scenes live on stage.
Another actor who has been gaining popularity and is now offered a world tour is none other than Emraan Hashmi. The actor who is busy with Jannat 2 and Shanghai currently has several hit songs to his credit. In fact we can’t remember any Emraan Hashmi movie which does not have super hit songs! The organizers feel that the hit numbers will be able pull in the crowds. The actor on his part is rather surprised to get these offers for tours “I am quite surprised and overwhelmed with requests for me to do tours and stage shows. For now, I haven’t committed to doing any of the shows. I am working on it and I will make an announcement once I zero in on a concrete plan” said Emraan when asked about the matter.
Interestingly Vidya and Emraan co-starred in The Dirty Picture which was a Blockbuster at the box office and their next film Ghanchakkar will have them pair once again on screen! Looks like Vidya and Emraan’s luck is going hand in hand these days! An official confirmation on these world tours is awaited.
