Esha Deol and fiance Bharat Takhtani have been busy with their pre-wedding festivities and while the couple has been happily posing for photographs, there’s something missing to make it look picture perfect. Yes. it’s the presence of Esha Deol’s father Dharmendra. The actor was neither spotted at Esha’s Sangeet nor at the Mehendi ceremony.
While a number of Bollywood stars were present at the sangeet, mehendi was a more private affair with only close family and friends. Strangely enough the whole Deol parivaar including Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were nowhere to be seen. The only Deol we spotted at the sangeet was Abhay Deol!

The whole news of ‘missing Dharmendra’ has caught media’s attention after all which father would like to miss his own daughter’s wedding? However the latest news is that Dharam Paaji was actually present at the sangeet but left very early. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the actor said “I was very much there. But I avoided the cameras as far as possible. It was an evening meant for the kids. I decided to take a backseat.” The news was also confirmed by guests who were present at the party.
Dharmendra also added that Esha’s wedding is very important for him “June 29 is very important for me. I’ve seen my other daughters married and settled down. And now it’s Esha. She’s very precious to me. Esha and Bharat make a very handsome couple. I want to see them happily married forever. Bharat is a very good boy.”, he said.
Well it looks like that Dharam ji has decided to play hide and seek with the media. We feel it’s kind of strange especially when it’s your own daughter’s wedding, you should rather be at the front receiving and welcoming all the guests than trying to escape the camera! We hope we get to see that on the 29th June!
