Will Joker strike gold at the Box Office?

Shirish Kunder’s Joker releases worldwide today and one big question on everyone’s mind is will it strike gold at the box office? Will Joker prove to be Akshay Kumar’s third consecutive hit? The film has recently been in news for all the wrong reasons, first the lyrics of it’s song “Wanna Fakht You” ran into trouble and then Akshay Kumar went missing from the films promotion. However in spite of all this negativity, we quite liked the latest promo of Joker. The visual effects looked good and we were intrigued to see more.

Akshay Kumar’s popularity is at an all time high and even though Joker isn’t exactly a masala film like his last release Rowdy Rathore, the film should still get a decent opening. What might also work for Joker is that it has a very short run time of less than two hours. Short films are appreciated by the multiplex audience and it also helps the multiplex owners to run more shows.
