Will Salman be able to break Aamir’s record with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’?

At a recent event in honor of batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan said “Main kabse Aamir ka record todke ki koshish kar raha hu par toot hi nahi raha” (I have been trying to break Aamir’s record for a while now but have been unable to do so). He was obviously referring to the lifetime collections of Three Idiots, Bollywood’s biggest grosser.

Salman has been riding high on success of his last films like Ready and Dabangg. While these movies were blockbusters and opened big they were not able to go past the lifetime collection of Three Idiots. This year Salman has 2 big films coming up – Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. Both the movies have a lot going for them. Lets take a look.

1. Ek Tha Tiger: This is Salman Khan’s first movie with Yash Raj Films. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie is probably the most anticipated movie of 2012.

2. Dabangg 2: The sequel to the highly successful Dabangg will see Salman play the character of Chulbul Pandey once again. It is heard that Salman will be even doing an item number in the film.

With these two movies releasing in the second half of the year, we might just get to see Salman Khan breaking Aamir Khan’s record. Which one are you looking forward to – Ek Tha Tiger or Dabangg 2?
