The tiff between Ajay Devgn and Yash Raj Films did have an affect on Kajol’s relationship with the latter. Talking about the issue for the very 
first time on Aaj Tak, Kajol said “Yes, it affected my relationship. But that was a situation which had come out of ordinary. It was not a normal situation… It doesn’t occur normally. It doesn’t happen everyday… Hopefully, it will not happen in future again”. The actress was speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak’s session ‘Supertar-Supermom-to Superstar’.
The fight between Ajay Devgn Films (ADF) and Yash Raj Films (YRF) started when ADF filed a complaint against YRF blaming them for using their position to book more screes for Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Ajay’s film Son Of Sardar which released along with Jab Tak Hai Jaan had a limited release because of this.
Ajay’s wife Kajol is known to be close to YRF with whom she gave the biggest hit of her career, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge however because of the tiff she was not even invited for the premiere of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It is also said that Kajol was upset with YRF for demanding 2.5 million from ADF for the use of a 90-second sequence from ‘Kajra Re’.
