Asha Bhosle’s daughter commits suicide

Legendary Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha Bhosle committed suicide at her flat in South Mumbai. Varsha shot herself in the head according to the police. She was 56. Asha Bhosle was in Singapore for a film festival when she came to know about the incident.

Varsha’s body was found on the couch in her living room. She had earlier also attempted to kill herself by consuming sleeping pills in 2008 and 2010. However on both the occasions she was rushed to the hospital and saved. Varsha was a freelance writer and has been staying with her mother.
