Happy Birthday Jaya Bachchan!

The sweet, versatile and beautiful Jaya Bachchan turns 64 today. The actress who made her debut with Guddi in 1971 has given us some memorable performances which are cherished by the lovers of Indian cinema even today. Before making her Debut in Guddi, Jaya acted as a child artist in Mahanagar.

Wife of megstar Amitabh Bachchan the actress is most often known for her natural style of acting. Her fabulous acting in movies like Guddi, Kora Kagaz, Sholay, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke,Mili and Abhimaan won her several awards and appreciation from the critics and audience. The actress is now rarely seen in the movies; her last prominent role was in Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003 where she played Preity Zinta’s mother. These days she is busy playing grandmother to Abhishek and Aishwarya daughter.

Several celebrities wished the actress on twitter today and though she is not there on the micro-blogging site husband Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan thanked everyone on her behalf.
