The gorgeous Madhuri Dixit has been in news for quite a while now. First she was in news for signing two back to back movies- Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya and Anubhav Sinha’s Gulab Gang and now it’s her stint as a judge in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 5 (JDJ 5) that is making news. The actress recently shot for the promos of JDJ 5 where in she pays tribute to the legendary Meena Kumari and various other actresses.
The promos will have Madhuri dressed up as yesteryear’s actresses like Meena Kumari and Mumtaz. Dressed in a pink anarkali Madhuri will be seen dancing to the tunes of “Thade Rahiyo” from Pakeezah. The actress will then appear in an orange saree just like Mumtaz in the song “Aajkal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche”. Madhuri will also dance to “Kaate Nahi Kat Te” from Mr. India. The promos will have the actress pay tribute to all the Bollywood dancing divas. Madhuri is said to have thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the promos. The entire dance has been choreographed by Saroj Khan.
We think there’s no better person to pay tribute to these dancing divas than Madhuri. She is elegance and poise personified when it comes to dancing! Jhalak Dikhla Jaa will air on Colors this time.
