Nowadays every filmmaker wants to make his film more appealing for the audience and what better than an item song to do that! From item girls to A-list actresses every one has been doing item song these days and that’s not all, now the actors too have joined the bandwagon. Actor John Abraham has recently done his first item number in his home production Vicky Donor and now we hear that Salman Khan will also be shaking a leg in good friend Ajay Devgan’s Son on Sardar.
Let us take a look at the some of the item songs of 2012, few of them are already hits while the rest are hugely anticipated.
1) The year started with a bang with Katrina Kaif turning on the heat in ‘Chikni Chameli’. It seems after ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ Katrina has mastered the art of doing item songs to perfection.
2) When all the actresses are doing one item songs after another, how can Mallika Sherawat be left far behind? The actress is back as ‘Laila‘ in the movie Tezz though this one doesn’t seem to be as good as ‘Jalebi Bai‘.
3) A year in Bollywood is incomplete without an item song from the original item song queen Malaika Arora Khan! She is currently making the nation dance on the tunes of ‘Anarkali Disco Chali‘ and news is that she will be once again doing an item song in Dabangg 2!
4) The gorgeous Chitrangada Singh is the latest to join the item song mania. She will be doing one for the very first time in the upcoming movie Joker. From what we see, her look seems to be inspired from Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Humko aajkal hai‘.
5) After breaking every record at the box office, the ruling Bollywood queen is now set to make everyone notice her dancing talent! Performing an item number for the first time in her career is Vidya Balan for the movie Ferrari Ki Sawari.
6) Kareena Kapoor‘s item number in Dabangg 2 is probably the most anticipated item song of the year. Reportedly the actress has charged a huge amount for her song in the movie.
