The cute and lovely Amrita today celebrates her 31st birthday today. Amrita appeared in several advertisements before making her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras in 2002. Though the film didn’t do much for her professionally, Amrita was able to make a place for herself in Bollywood. She then followed it up with a short but sincere performance in The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. Some of her noteworthy films are Masti, Main Hoon Naa, Welcome to Sajjanpur and Vivah.
However if there’s one role that she is most remember for, then it has to be Poonam from Vivah. The actress won the hearts of millions as the sweet and shy Poonam. Her portrayal of a typical Indian girl struck the right chord with the audience and every man dreamt of having a life partner like Poonam! Her chemistry with co-star Shahid Kapoor was also hugely appreciated by the audience.
