Box Office: Student Of The Year has a good 1st weekend

Student Of The Year had a good 1st weekend as it collected around 27 crore nett. The film which opened to a good response picked up on Saturday and Sunday with collections in the range of  9 crore on both days. Student Of  The Year has done decent business all across the country. Here is the 1st weekend breakup for the film.

Friday, 1st Day – 8.5 crore

Saturday, 2nd Day – 9 crore

Sunday, 3rd Day – 9.5 crore

Total – 27 crore

These are exceptional numbers especially for a film with newcomers. The movie is expected to hold well on weekdays. Student Of The Year stars Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt and was Karan Johar’s first film without SRK and without any big stars.
