Box Office Update: This week’s release Vicky Donor and Hate Story had a decent first weekend. Vicky Donor which got positive reviews from critics picked up due to positive word of mouth. Its weekend collection now stands at 8 crore. The film is doing well in Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The film is not doing that well in Bihar and other parts of South India and that is mainly due to the fact that the film has a huge North Indian/Punjbai touch to it.
The other release of the week Hate Story has done decent business at single screens. The film has done better at places like UP, Bihar, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Its first weekend collection stand at 6.75 crore. The film was not able to pull in the crows at multiplexes in big metros like Delhi and Bangalore.
Meanwhile Housefull 2 continued its good run at the box office and touched 100 crore mark this weekend. The film has now collected more than 100 crore in 17 days. The film is likely to finish with a total of 115 crore at the box office.
