There was time when Emraan Hashmi was considered as the big actor of small films, but not anymore. His recent success has ensured his entry into the big camps in Bollywood. We take a look at the rise and rise of Emraan Hashmi.
Emraan Hashmi has long been a favorite of the masses. His movies open to great response at single screens but in spite of achieving a lot of success Emraan was somewhat kept away from the big league. He never got to work with big stars/actresses/directors. However things changed for him post Once Upon A Time In Mumbai (2010). The actor who was more famous for his kissing scenes was suddenly noticed for his acting talent by the top filmmakers. His back to back success with The Dirty Picture and Jannat 2 consolidated his position in the industry.
With Shanghai Emraan ventured into a new territory, something which had not done in the past. This dark political thriller might not be breaking records at the box office, but Emraan’s acting has been praised by one and all.
