Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is releasing in 2 days and we take a look at it’s box office perspective.
The promos of the movie have been on air for quite some time now and we have to say that they have failed to generate the hype. It looks like Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola will have to rely on good word of mouth to do well. The music is good and songs sure are catchy however Vishal Bhardwaj’s movies are known to be quite crude and that’s why we think the family audience will stay away from it. Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma are popular among the college going crowd and the makers would be hoping that the youngsters flock to the theaters in big numbers when the film release on 11th January 2013.
One thing which will work in favour of Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is that there are no other big releases this week. That’s not all, last big release Dabangg 2 came on 21st December 2012 and is almost done with it’s run. The next biggie would be Race 2 which will release on 25th January. So Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola basically has no competition whatsoever on the box office. But with the low hype, here’s our prediction for Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola.
Opening Day : 6 crore
Opening Weekend : 20 crore
