John Abraham’s maiden production venture Vicky Donor has emerged as a winner at the box office! The film which release last Friday has picked up due to positive word of mouth. The film collected around 8 crore over the weekend and continued its good run on the weekdays as well.
The film collected around 1.5 crore on Monday and 1.35 crore on Tuesday. Considering the budget, the film is all set to be a hit at the box office. This is not the fist time that a small film has done well this year. Films like Kahaani and Paan Singh Tomar have also tasted success despite their low production values. This once again proves that the audience almost always appreciates a good film, irrespective of who stars in it.
The other release of the week Hate Story has done average business. The film is likely to have a 10-11 crore 1st week. Vicky Donor has overtaken the film at multiplexes where it has performed poorly.
The success of Vicky Donor is definitely good news for producer John Abraham!
