This week’s releases Special 26 and Any Body Can Dance are holding up quite well at the box office. Both the films had a slow start but picked up over the weekend. While ABCD collected 17 crore in it’s first weekend, Special 26 had a decent figure of 24 crore.
Both the movie are now holding up well on weekdays. Special 26 is doing great in North especially in multiplexes while ABCD is better in Mumbai. Special 26 collected 4 crore on Monday which was only 30% less than it’s opening days. The movie are likely to witness a jump on Valentine’s Day. They will need to hold well on all weekdays and only then can they come up with a healthy first week total (because of the slow start).
Nest week will see 2 releases, Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story and Murder 3. Out of these, Murder 3 seems to have better prospects at the box office even though the absence of Emraan Hashmi will definitely have an affect on the movie.
