The latest news doing the rounds about Saifeena ‘s high profile wedding is that Kareena will not convert to Islam ir order to marry Saif. The actress though has decided to wear his mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore’s shahrara for the wedding but she will not be converting to Saif’s religion. Sharmila Tagore converted to Islam and changed her name to Begum Ayesha Sultana when she married Mansoor Ali Khan however Kareena has decided not to do the same.
Her decision seems to have found full support in beau Saif who is totally against religion conversion. Speaking to a leading daily on the matter Saif has recently said “I would never want Kareena to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really, it expects conversion. I don’t buy or believe that. I think it’s good that the government too, has – unless I’m misinformed about the law amended to include it in the Special Marriage Act. If and when we do get married, no one has to change his or her religion.”
We appreciate the practical thinking of this couple! Saif and Kareena are set to tie the knot on 16th October at the Pataudi ancestral place.
