The first trailer of Sridevi’s comeback film English Vinglish was launched today. Directed by Gauri Shinde, English Vinglish is the story of Shashi who is a housewife and tries to learn English while living in the USA. The trailer is quite innovative with Sridevi trying to read the Censor Board Certificate of the film in a funny way. She struggles while reading the English lines and makes her own interpretations.
Though the trailer does not give away much, it is definitely amazing to see Sridevi back on screen. Her last release as a lead was Judaai in 1997. The trailer is different and cute and Sridevi seems to be bang on with her comic timing like always. English Vinglish releases on 21st September.
