TB ‘Audience-O-Meter’ for OMG Oh My God

TB ‘Audience-O-Meter’ analyzes the Bollywood release for the week from an audience and box office perspective. In short, we try to find out what might work for the movie and make it click with the audience and what might not- a day before the film releases worldwide!

Here is the ‘Audience-O-Meter’ for Oh My God which releases tomorrow, on 28th September 2012

Story: Oh My God is based on a Gujarati play ‘Kanji Virudh Kanji’. The movie is a story of a businessman Kanjibhai (played by Paresh Rawal) who makers a living out of selling the statues of gods/deities. However one day an earthquake destroys his shop and that’s what Kanjibhai decides to take ‘God’ to court. While the religious leaders and gurus are furious with his act, Lord Krishna (played by Akshay Kumar) himself decides to pay a visit to Kanjibhai!

Audience-O-Meter-Positives

1. The promos are good and have been liked by the audience.

2. Presence of Akshay Kumar is enough to pull in the viewers.

3. Lack of competition, the other release Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal is likely to open lower than Oh My God.

Audience-O-Meter-Negatives

1. Paresh Rawal is a fantastic actor but not much of a star.

2. Akshay Kumar is said to have a small role in the film.

3. The film might not appeal to the masses.

We really liked the promos of OMG Oh My God and we hope that this one turns out to be a good watch. We wish the entire team of Oh My God good luck!
