Censor Board has chopped off Kareena Kapoor’s smoking shot from the Heroine trailer. While the smoking shots were cut off from the trailer, they have been retained in the film although with some modifications. The actual shot in the film with Kareena smoking will be blurred.
Explaining why they removed the scene from the trailer J.P.Singh, CBFC’s Regional Officer said “We’ve taken a decision some time back to show no smoking in trailers. This is because in a trailer there can be no disclaimer about smoking. In the full-length feature film, there has to be disclaimer about smoking at the beginning and after interval. Even then the smoking sequences are blurred.”
The Heroine trailer was earlier supposed to launch on Saturday however it has now been pushed to 25th July. The official poster of the movie will be unveiled on Monday. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor in lead role will release on 21st September.
