The latest hit song “Anarkali Disco Chali” from the movie Housefull 2 has landed up in legal trouble and apparently it is to due with the use of historical names in the song like Anarkali and Salim! An NGO, Bharatiya Bhrashtachar Nivaran Sanstha has found to the lyrics to be degrading and also distorting the history. The NGO feels that children will get a wrong impression of the history by listening to this song. They might wonder why Salim stayed in a Gali and why Anarkali went to a disco!
The NGO feels that the producer of the film should be responsible for getting such things right. Its the producers duty to see that the film does not have a misleading effect on the society in any way. According to the NGO, the actors are not so much responsible for this as the producer is. The NGO is now on its mission to get the lyrics changed for they don’t want anyone to mess up the history! The song features Malaika Arora Khan with several other stars of Housefull 2.
Housefull 2 stars a dozen stars and is a sequel to the 2010 hit Housefull. The films music is already topping the charts with “Anarkali Disco Chali” and “Papa To Band Bajaye”. The film releases on 5th April 2012.
