Cocktail has opened to an excellent response at the multiplexes. This is the highest opening ever for Saif Ali Khan and as well as for Deepika Padukone. In fact the opening of Cocktail at multiplexes is comparable to other biggies this year like Agneepath, Housefull 2 etc. The film has taken a bumper opening especially in Northern India.
The evening shows in multiplexes of Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Ludhiana saw 100% collections. The morning shows at these places were also in the range of 80%. Even though the numbers at single screens were not big enough, the bumper opening at multiplexes will ensure that Cocktail will have a good first day number. The first day collections of Cocktail as per early estimates are likely to be in the range of 10-11 crore.
Last week’s release Bol Bachchan continues to be no.1 choice of cinegoers at single screens. The film has so far collected 60 crore in week 1. With the movie still doing well at the Box Office, there are strong chances of the movie grossing more than 100 crore in the coming weeks. The first week collection of Bol Bachchan is higher than Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty’s last release Singham.
