Box Office: Ek Tha Tiger collects a massive 32 crore on First Day!

As expected Ek Tha Tiger has created history at the India box office. The film has broken all previously held records by a huge margin and it has managed to do that in almost all the circuits. As per early trends, Ek Tha Tiger has collected Rs. 32 crore on the first day of it’s release.

Mind boggling numbers were reported from most regions like Mumbai, Delhi, East Punjab, Nizam, Mysore, West Bengal, CP Berar and Rajasthan. In all these regions, Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger has beaten previous first day records held by films like Agneepath, Bodyguard etc. Salman Khan’s universal appeal was able to pull crowd at multiplexes and single screens alike. Similar trend is likely to continue over this weekend.

So there it is, Ek Tha Tiger now holds the record for the highest first day collection ever in the history of Indian cinema. The previous record was by Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath which had collected 23 crore. Like Ek Tha Tiger, Agneepath too had released on a national holiday (26th January) however the difference between the first day collection of both movie is definitely huge.
